Welcome to lovestheword!  The name of this website came to my daughter, Meghan, who is both its technician and its inspiration.  I took to the name immediately.  It just fits. 

First, I am one who loves the Word and has studied the Bible through books, courses, the internet, and exciting travels to places where the biblical stories took place.  (That’s where I took the photos on this page.) 

Second, I’m one who loves words.  I’ve studied and taught English and several foreign languages and love hunting down the origins and meanings of words. 

But most importantly, if life has taught me anything it’s that love is the word.  Nothing makes any sense without it.  Nothing flows without it.  Nothing gives joy without it.  It’s the one thing that for everyone on this planet is worth doing well.  

So even though I’m not yet sure myself what direction this website will take, if anything describes its essence it’s that inspired name, lovestheword.  Thank you, Meghan!
